The Art of FROM UNDER THE MOUNTAIN

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that a lot of my posts are art-related. Over the past year or so, I’ve been getting back into art and doing a lot of trial and error with character design and medium. The subject of almost all this experimentation has been Guerline, the main character of From Under the Mountain (that novel that releases, oh yeah, TOMORROW). I love her, and drawing and painting her has done a lot to help me get inside her head even more during the long revision process her novel’s been through.

Eventually I hope to do something a little more formal, as my skill and style develop, but for now, I hope you enjoy looking at a random assortment of portraits of a single character, haha.

And of course, the map of Arido, which you may find useful *wink*:
