Woo! So my blog is now one year old. To mark the occasion, I will be giving away ONE copy of Warm Bodies, by Isaac Marion. I loved the book so much. It was undoubtedly my favorite part of Zombie Love Month and a great, fun read.

From my review:

I completely love this book. R as a narrator is charming as hell, pairing dark humor with a persistent but subtle curiosity. The pacing of the story and the descriptions of the setting are just right: the pace steady without barreling on and leaving you behind (as sometimes happened with Anita Blake), and the details are woven into the action seamlessly. There are a few things left unexplained, such as what iteration of zombie this is (virus, voodoo curse, psychosomatic self-fulfilling prophecy?) and why exactly Perry’s consciousness lingers in R (I ended up imagining it kind of like Echo in Dollhouse). I look forward to the prequel, The New Hunger, and hopefully other sequels and companions to flesh out this innovative new universe.

  1. I’ve recently got into ,zombies if they are well done. I started watching the Walking Dead. Its pretty exciting especially cause I watch it on an awesome tv.

    1. I love the Walking Dead! Although I haven’t seen any of the third season yet, so I should say that as of season two I love it. 🙂

      1. Yeah me and my boyfriend watch it together but we are long distance so we only watch it sometimes so we are still somewhere in season 2

  2. Sci-fi Romance! 😉

Or Tolkien month. Or Tolkien year. Because it would probably take at least that to get through them all…

Ooh! Or a month of UNpopular fiction. Where you read authors’ lesser known works. Like Stephanie Meyers’ Host or JK Rowling’s The Casual Vacancy.

On a similar note, banned books. Read books that have been or are currently banned by a country, school, etc. Banned Books Week is in September, though, so it might be a good one to save.

In any case, happy anniversary and thanks for the giveaway!

I haven’t read a single zombie book ever, so I can’t leave a review….But maybe Warm Bodies will be my first!

    1. Those are some great ideas, Heather! I will definitely add them to the list. I just got Seraphina from the library, so I might do a dragon month.

  3. If you do a dragon month I will try to do it with you! I have Sepheria and the last dragon slayer. I already own warm bodies and I’m still reading it but highly recommend it.

    1. I think it would be fun! I just can’t decide if I want to try and do it in March or wait until April. What do you think? I know you have a Roman month planned next, right?

      1. I was planning on Doing a Roman Month. But I’m on the fence with that since I kinda failed on Zombie Love Month… I’m still reading Warm Bodies out loud to my co-worker and since we only get to work together 2 nights a week.. and last weekend I was sick. I’m just saying it might be awhile before I’m done. ha ha! But I really am enjoy his Novel.
